Magic Keyboard intermittent disconnections

I have an iPad Pro 13inch and a Magic Keyboard. The keyboard keeps momentarily disconnecting when it’s attached to the iPad. I’ve cleaned the connectors on both the keyboard and iPad, I’ve updated the software on the iPad, and I’ve restarted multiple times and it keeps happening. Any recommendations?
