Why is it when I ask Siri to read a Bible scripture as simple as John 3:16 out loud to me that Siri respond with here’s what I found and it shows some YouTube stuff, but never actually read it out loud

No, that is completely predictable.
Siri is not a Bible scholar, and if Siri were a Bible scholar, the response would be something like, "I found 1,200 different versions of the Bible online. Which would you like me to read form?"
You will need to tell Siri exactly WHERE to find the exact version of the Bible in which that verse appears.
or better yet, Do you have a downloaded text of the specific version of the Bible, that can be referenced on your computer?
Or even better, download a program that can read you a verse on command. SirI does not know which Bible you want.
Siri may never be able to know to look in the book of John chapter 3 verse 16 unless you Specify how that should be done.
