Try booting into Internet Recovery Mode using Command + Option + R to attempt to access a macOS 10.13+ online installer. Use this key combination even if you are still booting to the Yosemite installer as it should not require authenticating to the App Store.
The reason you cannot select a disk is either because "disk0s2" is an APFS partition/container, or that partition is damaged. I suspect the former.
If you cannot boot into an online installer of macOS 10.13+ using the key combination I mentioned, then you will need to partition the whole physical SSD using the instructions in the following article starting at Step#2:

If this is an older MBAir which does not support macOS 10.13+, then you may run into a problem with the installer's certificate which may need to have the date & time set to 2017.
