Facebook reels not playing at all since Safari 26.6.2 update. I updated my Mac mini M2 and since then Facebook reels are not playing at all. Still pictures. My MacBook with the same update plays fine, and the iPhone with the IOS update works great. Youtube videos play fine, just stuck on Facebook. I've tried changing all setting on the mac and on facebook. No change.
Disable any Safari extensions, remove any added VPN apps, restart, and try again. Remove all, as disabling added VPNs isn’t always reliable.
And I just restarted the whole Mac and it runs just fine now. Jeez..... I'd had a power outage and had to start it up yesterday, but evidently that didn't count!
I have no extensions or VPNs. I've even turned off "block all cookies". I'm allowing Facebook to have pop-up windows. I've turned off blocking "content blockers". I've set it up exactly like the MacBook that is running perfectly.
I have no idea what's up. And I know the darn thing is going to turn out to be something simple.
