Airpods pro 3 transparency mode amplifies high frequency noise.

My brand new airpod pro 3 earphones amplify all high frequency noise in transparency mode. For example sounds of socks slding on hardwood floor or jeans shuffling while walking are amplified to level that the mode is not usable. The noise cancellation mode and off mode work perfectly. My previous airpods (pro 2) did not have this problem.

In addition the new airpods make a nasty high frequency sound when putting on ears.

I am using the earphones with apple iphone 15.

The high-frequency screeching when putting them on your ears and the overly boosted high-frequency amplification in Transparency mode point to a known hardware/design issue with the AirPods Pro 3.

This issue is typically caused by an audio feedback loop. The internal and external microphones pick up their own sound or become obstructed/misaligned relative to the ear tip seal, creating a high-pitched whistle or over-amplifying ambient treble frequencies.

Before seeking a replacement, you can try adjusting your settings to reduce the issue.

Connect your AirPods Pro 3 to your iPhone
Open Settings > Accessibility.
Scroll down and select Audio & Visual > Headphone Accommodations (turn this toggle ON).
Tap on Transparency Mode at the bottom and enable Custom Transparency Mode.
Find the Tone slider and move it toward "Darker". This reduces harsh high frequencies (like shuffling clothes or sliding socks) and focuses more on bass/mids.
Turn on Ambient Noise Reduction and use the slider to scale back jarring background environmental sounds.
