I recently bought the new iPad Air M4 2026 with the Magic Keyboard, but I’ve tried everything I’ve seen online to turn on the backlight of the keyboard and nothing works. Does anyone know how to help me?

Not all Apple Keyboards have a backlight.
Please identify the Magic Keyboard model number (it will begin with "A") and the device that you are using the Keyboard.
For Keyboard models that do support backlit key, you can add a control to the iPad Control Centre - this providing immediate access to the Keyboard backlight. You can find information about customising the Control Centre controls within the iPad User Guide:
