MUBI subscription through Apple.

I took a 1y MUBI subscription through Apple. This subscription is current (until feb 2027), has been used several times. And then, suddenly, MUBI does not recognize my paid subscription and I am no longer a current subscriber. Contacted MUBI, and 14 days on, am still waiting this to be fixed. Are we taken hostage of a platform war between competing platforms. How do I get my subscription recognized or my money back. To me, this is both an Apple and MUBI issue, and it should not be for me to spend any time trying to fix this for them.

iPhone 16, iOS 26

Before giving up, try triggering a manual receipt verification to force MUBI's app to check your Apple Account.

  • Use "Restore Purchase": Open the MUBI app on your iPhone, iPad, or Apple TV. Go to the Settings or Subscription menu. Look for a button that says "Restore Purchase". Tapping this forces the app to look directly at your Apple ID billing history and should instantly reactivate your access.
  • Log Out / Log In: Completely sign out of the MUBI app, restart your device, and sign back in. Ensure you are logging in with the exact email address tied to your Apple ID.

If this is not working you might want to opt in for a refund

Just for the community, here is my experience. I got my MUBI subscription re-activated lamost by magic. No kidding. I call the Apple Support service by phoneand spoke to an automated service. In the middle of our exchange, without anything having been done, the subscrition got re-activated and recognized. Go figure out...Thanks to WheelieNick, he got me dig further to speak to a warm (or robotic) body at Apple and, without very much knowi g how this was done, my problem got solved.

Thank you. No such thing as a restore purchase option on the App. Did the Log out Log out on both my Iphoneand on Apple TV, to no avail. My email is recognized, my password as well, but they still want me to re-subscribe. It is now really looking like a fraudulent practice by both Apple and MUBI. The refund option is not available from Apple Support. I am screwed by these platforms.
