Data Recovery fails after update on iPhone 12

Hi, I have an iPhone 12.

I’m having an issue with the Data Recovery process on the iPhone. I connected the iPhone to my Windows PC and tried to update it using recovery mode.

The update itself works normally and completes successfully. There is no problem with downloading or installing the update on the computer.

However, after the update, when the iPhone starts the Data Recovery process, the recovery fails near the end. After that, the iPhone becomes unavailable again.

I have already tried using a different USB cable and the same issue still happens.

I want to keep all my data on the iPhone, so I do not want to restore or erase the device.

Could you please help me find a way to complete the Data Recovery process without losing my data?

Data Recovery retrieves data that you synced to iCloud and that you had previously backed up, so you must have a backup that you could restore from.

Perhaps a long shot:

Do you have a 3rd party VPN installed, even if you are not using it? If so, delete the VPN profile in Settings/General/VPN & Device Management/VPN, then restart your device. Don't just turn it off; delete the profile. Updates sometimes "break" VPN, and it needs to be removed. If that fixes it, you can try reinstalling VPN, but probably shouldn't.
