HomePod randomly plays music and changes volume
omePod randomly starts playing music and changes volume by itself
My HomePod randomly starts playing my Apple Music personal station without anyone asking it to play. The volume also changes by itself and sometimes suddenly increases to an extremely high level.
I have already:
- Disabled “Listen for Siri/Hey Siri”
- Disabled “Touch and Hold for Siri”
- Checked that there are no active Home automations causing playback
- Restricted Speakers & TV access to only people sharing my Home
- Confirmed I am the only person sharing the Home
- Cleaned the HomePod touch surface
- Restarted the HomePod
- Factory-reset the HomePod and configured it again from scratch
The problem returned even after the factory reset, while my Apple TV was switched off. The HomePod started an Apple Music station on its own and the volume began changing by itself.
Has anyone experienced this, and could this indicate a faulty touch surface or another hardware issue?
