Unable to locate AirPrint printers after iOS 26.6.1 update

After the recent update to iOS 26.6.1 my iPhone and iPad are unable to locate AirPrint printers. I have tried everything to fix this. The printer and the devices are on the same network. Any suggestions?

The first thing I'd do is update to iOS 26.6.2, which was released yesterday. After EVERY iOS update the first thing I do is Force Restart my iPhone --> Force restart iPhone - Apple Support

Then if your iPhone still doesn't see an AirPrint printer on the same network, restart the network router, unplug the printer and plug it back in to force a new connection to the network.

The force restart helped me for my iPhone. iPad still doesn’t work. Now 26.6.2 out and back to the same problem, but force restart doesn’t work.

Perhaps a long shot:

Do you have a 3rd party VPN installed, even if you are not using it? If so, delete the VPN profile in Settings/General/VPN & Device Management/VPN, then restart your device. Don't just turn it off; delete the profile. Updates sometimes "break" VPN, and it needs to be removed. If that fixes it, you can try reinstalling VPN, but probably shouldn't.

I conducted a thorough search of this forum and uncovered numerous posts detailing similar issues across various iOS updates. This suggests that iOS updates may not consistently be the root cause. Below are a handful of examples extracted from the search results:

The links I've found suggest that the reason for not printing may not be solely due to iOS updates, but rather, it could be influenced by how an iPhone is utilized.

Not every issue an individual encounters on their device can be attributed to an iOS update. If the update itself were the root cause, then every device running that same version of iOS would exhibit the identical problem. In such a scenario, the forums would be flooded with countless posts reporting the same malfunction, creating an unmistakable wave of complaints that no one could possibly overlook. The absence of such widespread reports strongly indicates that the issue is not systemic, but rather specific to the device in question.
