software updates 26.6.1 and 26.6.2 are failing to install on iPhone 16e and after more than 10 years doing updates with mobile data they now say i need proper internet ? I don’t believe this is true because it’s not a big update and my connection is strong and stable and I’ve always had just mobile data with sharing capabilities across 10 devices if needed.
nor is 5G available in my area.

Bottom line, you are going to need a WiFi connection to get iOS 26.6.2 which will fix the ability to use cellular for future updates.

Your'e right, you shouldn't normally need WiFi.
However, one of the updates had a glitch were it broke updating over cellular. iOS 26.2 fixes that issue but you still need to install 26.6.2 over WiFi so it will fix future updates after 26.6.2 is installed.

If you don’t have Wi-Fi and don’t have 5G, then you can’t update over cellular anyway.
Updating iOS over cellular — any 26.6.x over-the-air update issues aside — requires 5G.

You can use a Wi-Fi router with a cellular or satellite connection, and various providers offer these fixed and mobile Wi-Fi routers.
A Wi-Fi router with a cellular internet connection would be configured to use your cellular plan, and this would allow iOS and app updates over LTE, 4G, and 5G as available.
Check with your cellular carrier, or with a satellite broadband provider.
It's a known issue. Installing 26.6.2 using WiFi will fix it for the next version.

A webpage? Or many different webpages?
Any add-on security apps, add-on VPN apps, or browser extensions? Remove the add-on apps, and disable the extensions, and try again.

I don’t have s Mac 9-5? Is this update 26.6.2 corrupt? I have an iphone only? Why a Mac?

just did this on iPhone 11
no problem with downloading but search engines stoped functioning afterwards so needed a network reset.
26.6.1 and 26.6.2 failed updates anyone else finding it glitchy ?
