iPhone 14 Pro Bluetooth audio switches to iPhone speaker when microphone is turned on

I’m using an iPhone 14 Pro with a Bluetooth headset. The Bluetooth audio works normally until I turn on the microphone.

For example:

  • When I’m listening to audio, the sound comes through my Bluetooth headset normally.

  • When I answer a call or turn on the microphone in a game (such as Free Fire), the audio/voice suddenly starts coming from the iPhone speaker instead of the Bluetooth headset.

  • The microphone also seems to switch to the iPhone instead of continuing to use the Bluetooth headset.

I have already checked the Bluetooth connection and the headset works properly with other devices.

Is this a known iOS/iPhone 14 Pro bug, or is there a setting I need to change to keep both the microphone and audio routed through the Bluetooth headset when the mic is enabled?

Any help would be appreciated.

iPhone 14 Pro, iOS 26
