My iPhone 12 displayed a "green screen" after about 5 years. It had nothing to do with the operating system.....iOS 18......that was installed at the time.

If your battery is at 79% Battery Health, it needs to be replaced at the Apple Store / Genius Bar or at an Authorized Apple Service Provider (AASP).

You SHOULD be fearing at a battery health of 79%. Your battery is failing and all sorts of things can and often do when an iPhone battery dips below 80%. Pay to have Apple replace the battery in your phone as soon as you can.

Have Apple itself, not a so called approved repairer, replace the battery and the screen will be in no more danger than if you do nothing.

I had the same green-screen issue on my iPhone 13. If the problem happens randomly, it may be worth checking the display settings, restarting the iPhone, and installing the latest iOS update. Your battery is failing. Until you replace the battery, there is a better chance of the logic board failing on the iPhone than the screen.

That is the opinion of my grandson, who works as an experienced technician at an authorized Apple service provider.
