New iPhone 17 battery usage and screen time

I am using iPhone 17 as a secondary phone with only wifi and no cellular connection. I am getting roughly 4 to 5 hours of screen time with a strict 80 to 20% charge rule & 60Hz display settings Cycle count is 3. I love this phone but on battery usage its below average for me. Shall i sell my iPhone for a pro version

The Screen Time is a poor metric to use for determining battery usage and actually your battery is performing excellent. Your device will use the battery whether an app is on screen or not.

  • Daily battery usage averages about 18% and has not exceeded 30% in the last 7 days.
  • On your hourly graph, discharge is only about 15% over 23 hours.

If you want more usage off a single battery charge, then get rid of the Charge Limit. To be honest that feature was only added because of customer requests and has very little to no effect on your Battery Health in the long term, despite what you see reported for optimal use of a Lithium Battery. Apple already provides battery management on the device to protect its battery from overcharging, the only thing you need to worry about is letting it discharge completely.

While the Pro version has a bigger battery, it also has a faster processor that uses more battery power along with a more demanding screen and camera setup. The larger battery is to compensate for the increased demands and I would not expect a significant difference in the daily usage, maybe just a slight increase.
