IOS 26.6.2 broke Apple Music on iPhone 11 Pro Max, maybe?

After IOS 26.6.2 was installed on my husbands’ iPhone 11 Pro Max Apple Music no longer works. When pressing play, numerous tracks are skipped. Makes no difference if the track is downloaded or not. Sometimes a track will play after some have been skipped but mostly it won’t.

You can get a track to play by dragging the play bar, so it’s not at the start of the song and pressing play, but skipping tracks forward or backwards does nothing.

I’ve switched off Song Transitions - no difference. I’ve restarted the iPhone and deleted the Music app, still the same. Anyone else having a problem? Is this likely to be a software issue or could it be hardware related?

If he needs a new phone he’ll be having my 15 Pro Max and I’ll be upgrading, he doesn’t want a new one, hence why I’m troubleshooting. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
