Recently I keep getting a mysterious alert sound play on my iPhone and ive no idea whats causing it! When I look at my phone there are no banners, popups, alert numbers on any apps or anything to show where it's come from. Is this some kind of bug or is it possible I have an app only playing a sound? If so, how can I find out whats causing it?!

A mysterious alert sound with no visible banner or notification is usually caused by an app configured to play sounds without displaying on-screen alerts, or a silent background notification glitch.
Search for apps that only have audio notifications:
Go to Settings > Notifications. Look through your list of apps. Tap on apps that have a sound enabled but lack a banner or badge style, and turn off their sound or toggle off notifications entirely.
