If the merchant has a link on their website to Add to Apple Wallet, yes it can be added. However, it can’t be added directly by the user, currently.

You can certainly add a Tesco card (in the UK). Do it from the Tesco app.

If you upgrade to iOS 27, the Wallet will have a separate section for users to add their own cards etc. But the merchant may not accept them. You’ll need to verify with the merchant their acceptance.
