Mysterious $49.99 charge that won’t go away.

Why does it charge me $49.99 for trying to pay my iCloud storage that is supposed to be $.99 it gets declined every time because I don’t keep that much money in that account. I’m starting to not trust Apple.

Sounds like you have a previous Pending charge that has not been paid yet. To see what that could be use the steps under the section titled "How to see your purchase history on your device" in this Support Article.

View your purchase history for the App Store and other Apple media services - Apple Support

You may need to adjust the filters to view all transactions. In the Screenshot on that Support Page, the example shows only the "Last 90 Days" and "Paid" transactions. Any amount in Red is listed as Pending has not been paid. You won't be able to make additional charges until any previous charges have been paid.

Hello~ If you have a pending charge …it must be paid. Do you have a viable payment method on your account? If not …you will need to add one. See below.

Add a payment method to your Apple Account - Apple Support

After the payment has processed then you may ask for a refund…

Request a refund for apps or content that you bought from Apple - Apple Support

Note the refund may or may not be granted. Apple sometimes grants refunds as a courtesy.

If need be contact Apple…
