Technically, computer passwords are not replaced they need to changed to something other that what was used originally

To change your Mac login password, choose  > System Settings > Users & Groups, click the ⓘ Info button next to your user account, and select Change.

Enter your current password, enter your new password in both password fields, and select Change Password.

Use a password that meets the requirements shown by macOS.

Your new password is used the next time you log in to or unlock your Mac.

If you do not know your current password, see Apple’s instructions for resetting a forgotten Mac login password.

A strong computer password should contain at least 12 characters with a mix of Alpha Numeral and case sensitive characters

This will make it much for difficult for unwanted persons to guess the password

If you know your current Mac login password, go to System Settings > Users & Groups, click the info button next to your account, then choose Change Password.

You’ll be asked for your current password first, then you can enter the new one.

If you’ve forgotten the current password and can’t sign in, that’s a different process. In that case, let us know whether you can still get to the Mac login screen.

Welcome and thank you for reaching out. 🤗

If you have forgotten your Mac login password; after trying three attempts, you should find an option to reset your password with your Apple Account.

From there, you simply follow the prompts and your Mac should simply restart like normal.

NOTE: You may need to sign back into iCloud and other services after the successful login.
