Safari tabs layout dont work for me. Setting this setting dont work. Every ios upadate it is start working, but sometime after it return to not working state. Iphone 17, ios 26.6.2

Okay, so to recap, Safari tabs do work, the compact and bottom size selection choices just aren’t particularly visually distinguishable for your case.
Testing here shows larger controls when selected, and smaller with compact. I did restart Safari when switching.
Any browser extensions, or add-on security apps or such?
I’d usually suggest logging feedback with Apple, but iOS 27 arrives today and with whatever changes that brings.
And to confirm, sliding the button left or right doesn’t show tabs?
