Apple Pencil Pro double-tap gesture not working on iPad Pro

I am experiencing an issue with my Apple Pencil Pro on an iPad Pro with the M5 chip.

The double-tap gesture on Apple Pencil Pro does not work. I cannot use double-tap to switch tools, change the current setting, or perform any other action configured under Apple Pencil settings.

Details:

• Device: iPad Pro (M5)
• Accessory: Apple Pencil Pro
• Issue: Double-tap gesture is not detected / does not trigger any action
• Apple Pencil Pro is connected and otherwise works normally.
• The issue persists after reconnecting the Apple Pencil Pro.

Please investigate whether this is a software/firmware compatibility issue between the Apple Pencil Pro and iPad Pro M5.

I would appreciate a fix in a future iPadOS or Apple Pencil firmware update.
