"Blocked Contacts on iPhone - iCloud on IOS

I think I know the answer - there is NO answer - but my question is this: I must have reached the maximum number of "blocked" calls and emails on my 3-year old mobile iPhone. When I reached the limit - I didn't know there was a limit but, apparently, there is - I've tried to bulk release them. I can find no method available for doing so. To release a blocked phone or email you have to release them ONE-by-One. That is a DESIGN flaw in the iPhone. There should be a way to collectively release all of them and remove them, essentially, from your phone.

On the iPhone there is no way to bulk delete the blocked contacts, there never has been. You can send Feedback to Apple for a feature request, so you can bulk delete like you can on the Mac.

On the Mac, you can bulk delete by selecting the first Blocked Contact in the list, then Shift-Click another to select a range of Contacts and delete them by clicking the minus button on the bottom of the page. As said I don't have Messages in iCloud set to sync on my Mac, but I am syncing Contacts for both devices in iCloud, and when deleting on the Mac, it is synced to the iPhone with the same Apple Account and also removed there.

Is the Apple Account on the Mac the same as the iPhone? What you see under the Blocked contacts for Messages is the exact same for those under Mail on the Mac and also what you see under Blocked Contacts in the Privacy & Security setting of the iPhone, as long as you are syncing those contacts in iCloud.

If you are not seeing those sync when deleting from the Mac to your iPhone on the same Apple Account, then check and make sure:

You are not using a VPN on either device where that syncing can be interrupted.
Make sure your device is not in Low Power Mode.
Make sure you have Contacts allowed to sync to iCloud on both devices by going to your Settings, Name on top, and choosing iCloud.

I bulk delete Blocked Contacts on the Mac in the exact way described and they are updated on the iPhone in about 10 seconds under the setting in Messages for Blocked Contacts. I don't have Messages in iCloud turned on with the Mac and those blocked contacts are still synced.

Lawrence, if you're still willing to help, I have sync Messages with iCloud and made sure no VPN or any other service was interfering but, when I open on my iPhone the Mail app and go to the tab "Block Contacts" there are still over 1700 blocked phone contacts. Those can only be deleted or the "block" status removed which makes them disappear but one at a time. I'm looking for a way to bulk delete the blocked contacts or to bulk release these currently blocked contacts. It cannot be done, as far as I can tell, except one by one. That is the design flaw in the iPhone. And it's universal, as far as I can tell, and I've owned a new phone every year until the 15 Pro. That one I've kept for 3 years, although I am buying the new 18 Pro. Which is why I'm trying to just clean up my existing phone before I turn it in for the new one.
