No way to enter full passcode to get iCloud data access

I'm trying to sync end-to-end encrypted data from iCloud on my computer, which is telling me it can't be accessed until I enter the passcodes for my ipad or iphone. The problem is, both my ipad and iphone have 8 digit passcodes, and this prompt only has 6 spaces for passcode digits allotted for both devices, so I have no ability to type in the passcode in full and thus it tells me my passcodes are wrong. Any tips?
