Apple Shortcuts automations behavior after iOS 27 update
Hello,
I recently updated my iPad to iOS 27. The update with the new Siri and Artificial Intelligence stuff. This is on Apple iPad M4 if that helps.
One app I use a bunch is Apple Shortcuts. I have a few questions:
- Are you able to make it so automations are just automations and aren’t in the shortcuts tab (Because now they act are in the Automation Section AND the Shortcuts Section).
- I figured out how to get rid of this by disabling Siri, but I would prefer to keep Siri on. Is there a way to use the Apple Shortcuts app and make automations and shortcuts without using Siri? (Any way besides disabling Siri completely).
- When an automation runs, it sometimes notifies with:
Title: Automation/Shortcut Name (Because now it’s technically a shortcut See question 1)
Subtitle: Trigger (ex: Email received from___).
Paragraph: Running: Automation/Shortcut Name (Because now it’s technically a shortcut See question 1)
Is there any way to make it just say running your automation again?
Thanks.
Tip: Make sure to research what iPad IOS27 will change before updating.
