Notifications are showing in dark mode on the Lock Screen photo after updating to iOS 27 ( just a while ago). I just hate it.
I've attached screenshots of the lock screen notifications on both iOS 26 and iOS 27. I want my notifications to be in light mode as it appears on iOS 26. I've tried all the fixes sugested across the internet but none of them worked so far.

You can not do anything about it because of updated interface elements or system-wide Dark Mode rules that automatically darken or tint elements when notifications arrive. It's still not too late to sign back to iOS 26.

Hi, this is most likely a Setting in Accessibility. There are probably close to a dozen settings that potentially cause issues. The easiest way resolve the issue is to reset Settings to factory defaults. No data is lost, but WiFi passwords are deleted.

The only luck I had was to change my typically solid-black wallpaper on the lock screen to something more colorful with the liquid glass slid to fully-opaque, but even then, the black text on the lighter opaque notification background was "dim" looking and still hard to read compared to iOS 26, so I just reverted it back to the 'dark mode' look for now. Maybe we'll get more tweaks for this in a maintenance update soon. I haven't yet updated to macOS 27 yet on my M5 MacBook Air, but I'll do so soon and I'll see how that looks (it's less important using Messages on my laptop than the phone).
Those 2 screenshots are showing how notifications on the lock screen are appearing on the respective iOS. The first one (appearing Dark) is on iOS 27, while the other screenshot is on iOS 26 in light mode. I want to switch back to the light mode but it's not happening even after I've tried all the fixes.
I'm 100% with you on this! I cannot read my notification banners on iPad or iPhone 16 since the ios27 upgrade. I cannot find a way to change the color. I've turned off all the transparency settings and it's still greyed out. If you find an answer I hope you'll let me know. Seems like Apple just won't give up on this stupid liquid glass.
On iOS 26, with settings to Tinted - notifications on lock screen were black text with white background but now on ios27 , it appears in dark mode (white text and black background). All settings are correct and pointing to More Tinted with accessibility options correct too.
What you are trying to show on the two screenshots is not clear to me.
