Music not playing

I keep trying to play music off of apple music and my subscription is still valid but wont let me play my music and it stays at 0 seconds then says my request has timed out. I have looked through my settings and cant seem to find anything. I also just switched to a new phone so i was wondering if maybe that could be the issue.

Since this started after switching to the new iPhone, I’d check the Apple Account first.

Open Music, tap your profile picture, then Account Settings and make sure it’s the same Apple Account used for your Apple Music subscription. Also check Settings > Apps > Music and make sure Sync Library is turned on.

Then restart the iPhone and try playing a song over Wi-Fi and cellular. If everything still stays at 0:00 and times out on both connections, that would help narrow it down.

I wouldn’t sign out of your Apple Account yet. Apple has the Sync Library steps here: Use Sync Library with your Apple Music subscription - Apple Support
