Apple ID (iCloud Mail) repeatedly locked every morning at work (No saved passwords used).
Hi everyone,
I am experiencing a very frustrating daily issue with my Apple ID. Every morning when I arrive at my office and try to log into my iCloud Mail via Microsoft Edge on my Windows PC, I find that my Apple ID has been locked for security reasons.
I successfully go through the account unlock process, and everything works perfectly fine for the rest of the day. However, the exact same thing happens the next morning—my account is locked again.
I want to clarify that I never save my passwords in the browser or use auto-fill features for my Apple ID, neither at work nor at home. I type it manually every time. I have also already changed my Apple ID password to be safe, but the daily lockouts persist.
Given that no old passwords are saved on this machine, could my corporate network, proxy, or VPN be triggering Apple's location/security filters overnight? Or is it more likely that someone is actually trying to brute-force my account every day?
Any advice on how to identify the root cause and stop this daily loop would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
