An unfamiliar number or email in an Apple ID verification pop-up usually means an app, subscription, or secondary service on your device is tied to an old account, a family member's account, or a previous owner's data.

Check secondary sign-ins: Go to Settings, tap your name, then check Media & Purchases. Check Messages and FaceTime to ensure the listed accounts belong to you.

Delete old apps: Tap Not Now when the pop-up appears. Look for recently updated apps or apps you downloaded while using a different account, delete them, and reinstall them using your correct Apple ID.

Sign out and back in: Go to your main iCloud settings, sign out of your Apple ID, restart your device, and sign back in.

Contact Support: If the prompt persists and disrupts your device, visit Apple Support for direct assistance
