How to clean charging port

Check for foreign objects, fluff, lint or other dirt that may be obstructing the charging port of your iPhone. Consider using a plastic or sharpened wooden toothpick (never metal) to carefully and gently dislodge any material that may be blocking the charging port - taking care not to damage the delicate electrical contacts. If your iPhone has a USB-C charging port, be aware that there is an obvious "tongue" within the opening that can be easily damaged.

I use a strong vacuum and never blow air into the port. I also avoid probing into the port. People use too much force or too strong a tool when probing.
