Ipod Classic and MacBook Air HELP!!!

Good Afternoon, I have a Classic ipod with 160gb. I bought a MacBook Air in December 2025. I hooked the ipod up and it automatically started syncing. I made the rookie mistake of unplugging the ipod without ejecting it. The ipod is saying my music is on it (by storage capacity) but nothing is showing in the music section. I've googled and tried their steps but nothing. Has anyone experienced this I'd love your feedback...also I'm new to Apple computers this is my first one, and that's frustrating in itself...but I'll get it. Any help will be appreciated thanks.
