I’m experiencing an issue with the Search bar in Apple Mail on iOS 27. The Search function is not working as expected.
I initially thought the issue might be related to the system still indexing or optimizing, so I waited until that process was fully completed. However, the Search bar still doesn’t work properly even after indexing/optimization has finished.
Has anyone else experienced the same issue on iOS 27?

It is not clear from your post which email account you have configured in the iOS Mail app. Merely stating that something is “not working” makes it difficult to determine the exact problem, especially when there is no screenshot, error message, or other concrete information showing what is happening.

The Search is working on my device with iOS 27 for iCloud Mail and Gmail. See the pic below
It’s working now. How? I have no idea. Apple needs to explain why it wasn’t working before and why it suddenly works now.
There’s no error message I can provide because no error was ever displayed. Basically, I would type the subject of an email or some text from the message into the search bar in the Apple Mail app, and it simply wouldn’t return any results. I could still find the email manually, but the search function within the app just wasn’t working.
This was happening with Apple Mail and Apple’s own email provider. I also tried searching for emails that had been received from Gmail accounts in the Apple Mail app, and the same issue occurred — the emails wouldn’t show up in the search results.
