Safari History removes original instance when URL was accessed

Why does Safari rearrange historical URLs from the timeline when it was originally opened? Why can't it just make a new instance of the URL at the top of the history timeline and keep the original intact?? I'm needing to prove I accessed a URL to a form on a specific date and take a screenshot in my history timeline on that date. Didn't know that if I clicked the link from that date, Safari automatically removes it from the date in the timeline and pushes it to the top of the history timeline. Now I cannot take a screenshot showing the URL on the original date it was accessed!!
