Router web portal unreachable

If you have an add-on VPN app, remove it, and try again.

Does https://10.0.0.1 work? That’s with https, not http.

If you launch Terminal app, can you ping 10.0.0.1?

ping -c4 10.0.0.1

Also post your local IP address, as shown in Network Settings for your Wi-Fi adapter. It should be 10.[something], but might be 169.254.[something]

What’s the router vendor and model?

Any add-on VPN apps? If so, remove those apps, and try again.

Given Chrome isn’t playing though (and Safari is), I’d also check for Chrome updates, and then ask Google support.

Have you got any other LAN sites you could open with Chrome? Printer or NAS maybe. That could isolate it to a Chrome or router problem.

I don't use Chrome, but if it's got the equivalent of Firefox's Troubleshoot mode (no extensions, no config changes) maybe try that.

Can you access it from other browsers on your Mac?

In Terminal can you ping it?

If so then it's a Chrome problem and you should contact Google.
