FYI the one-sided sound issue is now resolved. It turns out with the latest IOS 27 update, I also had to update my firmware for my external microphone that I use to record my videos on my iPhone. I haven’t checked or updated my firmware for the external microphone for almost two years. So after I updated the firmware, my one-sided sound issue got fixed and everything is working fine now. So just wanted to let everyone know.

Since I have not seen any reports of poor audio quality after the iOS update here or on any third party websites, I would recommend to contact Apple directly. If they are aware of that issue, they may be able to tell you if it will be resolved in a follow up update.

Contact Apple Support - Apple Support

The only reports I have seen was the improvement in audio quality when using Apple Music, but I suspect that has more to do with the Equalizer added to Apple Music that allows users to fine tune adjustments to the frequency of songs and has been requested for quite a while now, than to the actual quality of the speaker changing.

Since you are the only one experiencing this, It's most likely an issue in your phone and not an iOS issue, therefore there is nothing to fix.

Try a forced restart.

• Press and quickly release the volume up button

• Press and quickly release the volume down button

• Press and hold the side button.

• When the Apple logo appears, release the button.

Hello,

Ever since the most recent IOS 27 update, audio quality on my YouTube video sounds uneven. I created a YouTube video today on my phone and used an external speaker. After recording the video, when I play and listen to my video holding my phone on portrait view, the sound of my speaking voice sounds normal. But when I turn my phone to a landscape view position, the sound quality of my voice is uneven as if it is jumping from a right side speaker and then a left side speaker back & forth uneven output. My videos are just straightforward educational videos of me speaking. There is no music in my videos. It’s strange that it’s only doing this in the landscape mode when I turn my phone sideways. I didn’t have this problem prior to this recent update. Please advise if this problem will be fixed in the next software update.

By the way, I have an iPhone 17 Promax.

Is there a direct link you can provide so I can report an audio issue to the right support team? I am also having an audio quality problem after the latest IOS 27 update. See below for my description of problem. I have an iPhone 27 Pro Max.

I forced a restart and the audio problem still exists. Hopefully the Apple IT team will provide an update soon to fix this problem.

Since the most recent IOS 27 update, my videos recorded with my iPhone is having a one-sided sound in left ear and no sound in right ear. Prior to the latest update, my previous videos had sounds in both left & right ears. I didn’t have any problem with one-sided sound until after this latest IOS 27 update. PLEASE ADVISE HOW TO FIX THIS OR IF THERE WILL BE ANOTHER UPDATE TO FIX THIS SOON. I have a 17 Pro Max.
