Blocked Contacts Limit Reached
Since I upgraded to 26.6 I cannot block any more emails because it says blocked contacts list is full. Yet when I eliminated about 100 blocked contacts, I still couldn't block any more emails.

On macOS 26, Mail allows up to 3,000 blocked senders.
Blocked contacts are managed centrally in System Settings >> Privacy & Security >> Blocked Contacts, and blocking a contact on one Apple device blocks that contact on other Apple devices signed in to the same Apple Account. (Apple Support)
Because you removed about 100 blocked contacts but still receive the “list is full” message, first check the number of entries currently shown in Blocked Contacts.
In Mail, you can reach the same list through Mail >> Settings >> Junk Mail >> Blocked >> Manage Blocked Contacts. (Apple Support)
If fewer than 3,000 entries are shown and Mail still will not allow another sender to be blocked, Apple’s documentation does not identify a specific cause or provide a reset procedure for that situation.
At that point, it would be appropriate to investigate the behaviour further rather than continue deleting contacts.
Also verify that Enable blocked mail filtering is selected in Mail >> Settings >> Junk Mail → Blocked. (Apple Support)

Thanks for the advice. I tried what you suggest. I have 3898 blocked contacts and now I am unable to delete any. Previously I deleted about 100 but I still get the message that I have reached my limit in blocked contacts. All my settings jive with what you suggested. Any other ideas or is this a bug in OS26? I actually have OS26.6.2.
