Siri on iPhone 17 Pro Max does not recognize Calendar appointments

Siri in iOS 27 on my iPhone 17 Pro Max does not recognize any appointments in my calendar. I use Siri all the time to add my appointments, and it does it correctly. But when I ask Siri what appointments I have coming up, it responds that I do not have any appointments in my calendar.

There was an issue with the iOS 26 Siri and calendar too. I would have an address in the location section of the appointment and Siri would never recognize that I had an address entered, but when I manually go to the appointment, I can get directions without issues.

Hi there

Please try this

1. Reset Siri's Calendar Access & Rebuild the Index

The most effective fix for Siri "blindness" regarding existing entries is resetting its background search data:

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
  2. Scroll down and tap Apps, then select Calendar.
  3. Tap Siri & Search (or Search depending on your exact sub-menu).
  4. Toggle off both Learn from this App and Show App in Search.
  5. Force restart your iPhone: Quickly press and release Volume Up, quickly press and release Volume Down, then press and hold the Side Button until the Apple logo appears.
  6. Once the phone boots back up, return to Settings > Apps > Calendar > Siri & Search and toggle both settings back on.
  7. Note: Give your iPhone about 15–30 minutes to rebuild its internal index before asking Siri to scan your schedule again.
