Turn off and dry the keyboard: Turn the keyboard off immediately using the power switch on the back. Leave it completely powered down and flat (or upside down at a gentle angle) in a dry, warm, and well-ventilated room for at least 24 to 48 hours to let any trapped alcohol evaporate fully.
Try a wired connection: Plug the keyboard directly into your Mac using the Lightning-to-USB (or USB-C) cable. This bypasses potential Bluetooth communication drops and supplies direct power, which can help re-initialize the device if it's experiencing a logic glitch.
Reset Bluetooth connection: Go to your Mac's System Settings > Bluetooth, remove or "Forget" the Magic Keyboard, restart your Mac, and then pair the keyboard again using the physical cable first.
Check Touch ID pressure technique: If the keyboard types fine but Touch ID specifically fails to read your fingerprint, make sure you are resting your finger very gently on the sensor rather than pressing down hard, which can distort the fingerprint reading against the glass/sensor surface.
If this is not working, there might be hardware damage with the keyboard I am afraid
