How long should I expect to wait for Siri AI after upgrading to iOS27?

Siri AI Waitlist. I upgraded to iOS27 5 days ago. Both my iPhone 16 Pro Max and IPad are compatible with both the new iOS and the Siri AI allegedly. Took about 2 days for optimization to complete in my iPad. Have requested Siri AI and have been on the wait list now for 5 days and still no signs of access to Siri AI. I am very frustrated and disappointed with the prolonged wait and the inability to find out anything about status. I have been waiting for these features for 2 years from apple and feel this role out time from has not been transparent at all, especially when global role out of ios27 said Siri AI would be available.

While most users are approved within 4 to 48 hours, wait times for the Siri AI waitlist can stretch from several days up to a few weeks. Apple has not provided a guaranteed timeline, as they are using a staged activation approach to manage server load during the global rollout of iOS 27.

I installed iOS 27 on 9/14 and immediately joined the waiting list. I received a notice this morning 9/18 that Siri was now active. So that’s that’s four days. Your mileage may vary. Patience is a virtue.
