Turn Off Safari tab previews in ios27

There is, unfortunately no option to turn that off.
Your best bet is to offer Apple feedback about it and if enough people do, they may add an option to disable it.

What tab previews are you referring to exaclty?
If you mean the thumbnails seen when you press the double square icon, those cannot be turned off.
If you mean something else, then plase clarify as much as possible.

Sorry about the lack of details.
Here is a pic of what is happening. It only pops up a preview when using my BT trackball and the cursor randomly passes over a tab. Fingers and stylus don’t seem to have the same issue.
It will disappear if I move the cursor up to the Safari Title Bar, but when I move the cursor back down the window it will pop open a preview for whichever tab the cursor passes over.
This did not start until I updated to iOS 27.
Duckduckgo browser does not do this.
I also find this incredibly annoying and wondering why it was on by default. It is also buggy and the preview gets stuck on the page. I wrote to the feedback link hopefully we’ll have a fix next update.
Even on the tab I’m on.

thank you for looking into this for me. I will give the feedback a shot. It’s not a showstopper, just annoying.
