Is it safe to update from iOS 16.2 to iOS 27?

I have an iPhone 13 Pro Max that is 4 years old, and I was wondering if it's safe to update from iOS 16.2 to iOS 27. Four years ago, when I updated my phone, it got the green screen issue, so I've been scared to update it ever since. The screen was replaced by an official Apple Store during that time. But because screen replacements are quite expensive in my area, I'm still worried. I really want to update my phone, but is there a risk of the green screen happening a second time after a software update?
