iPhone 12 Pro Max unable to verify iOS software update

I using an iphone 12promax, and im currently on ios17. Tried updating to ios 26 or even ios18 it not working, the ios was downloaded but when i want to verify the update it takes hours and end up telling me unable to verify update. Why?
