AirPods Pro 2 (USB-C) not connecting or showing up in devices list

I have an AirPods Pro 2 (USB-C) that is giving me ****. It initially started a few months ago when I noticed that the right airpod was not being charged despite being in the case. I looked into the issue on Apple community message boards and Reddit and saw that it could be a pairing issue. I followed several instructions to include:

gently cleaning the metal prongs of the AirPods and the ones in the case with a cotton swab soaked in some isopropyl alcohol; resetting the AirPods by holding down the button on the back for around 15 minutes; forgetting the device in bluetooth settings and trying to rediscover it; resetting network connections on both my iPhone and MacBook; draining the charge on the AirPods independently and then charge it back in the case. Whenever I open and try to pair it any device, the light just flashes amber. Even on a full charge. Nothing seems to work and it's driving me crazy. Help.

You should be the AirPods Pro2 diagnosed by visiting an Apple Store or Authorised Apple Service Provider next to your place.

Contacting the official Apple Support would also be an option, but sending them in and getting a diagnose may take longer.

Did you follow the steps mentioned in this article to pair the AirPods Pro2?

...

  1. Put your AirPods in their charging case, close the lid, and wait 30 seconds.
  2. On an iPhone or iPad that's paired with your AirPods, go to Settings, then tap Bluetooth:
  • If your AirPods appear in the My Devices list, tap the More Info button next to your AirPods, tap Forget This Device, then tap again to confirm.
  • If your AirPods don't appear in the list, continue to the next step.

3 . Open the lid of your charging case.

4 . Press and hold the setup button on the back of the case for about 15 seconds.

5 . When the status light on the front of the case flashes amber, then flashes white, you can follow the steps on your device's screen to reconnect your AirPods.

...

If the status light doesn't flash white when you reset your AirPods

I have just tested this with my AirPods Pro2, which are not actively connected to either the iPhone, Mac or iPad.

The light on the case is always blinking green, no matter which AirPod is taken out or put in again.

Have the AirPods or the case been replaced in the past?

Can you connect them to another device, to be able to check the serial numbers?
