Air Pods 5 (wireless charging edition) Stem volume control not working

Air Pods 5 Volume Control not working. I have reset my Air Pods 5 (with wireless charging) 5 times now. I can not get the stem volume control to works to work. Sometimes the volume slider will pop up on my phone screen when I stroke the stem slider but the volume doesn't change. I've had them about 30 hours. Everything else is fine, I like the sound and the ANC and they're very comfortable, I would love the volume control to work fully though
