How do I delete Windows recovery error '0xc000000e' that still shows even after deleting Windows 10 and reformatting the SSD installed in the optical drive on my MacBook Pro 15" 2011?
Note: I have used the recommended OWC Mercury Electra installed in one of their Data Doublers for installing an SSD in the optical drive.

Can you boot into macOS? You should be able to do so by an Option Boot where you hold down the Option key immediately after hearing the startup chime.
When removing a Windows BootCamp installation, I believe you should have used BootCamp Assistant to remove it so it completely removes the Windows installation. Windows likely installed a bootloader onto a hidden partition and that bootloader is still being accessed.
If you did not use BootCamp Assistant to install Windows, then there would be multiple partitions on the Windows drive.
When you erase the SSD, you will need to erase the whole physical SSD assuming you had one internal drive for macOS and one for Windows. Unfortunately Disk Utility hides the physical drives from view, so you must first click "View" in Disk Utility and select "Show All Devices" before the physical drives appear on the left pane of Disk Utility.
Otherwise we will need to see the drive layouts of both internal drives. You can run the following Terminal command to show the drive layouts of the internal drives:
diskutil list internal

Then one of two things are possible.
Try a PRAM Reset (hold for at least three chimes) which may hold your default Startup Disk setting for the now missing Windows drive.
The other possibility is your Windows installation installed something to the other internal drive. Use the Terminal command so I can see what the internal drives layout look like.
