phone not ringing after update

Try this

An update glitch can sometimes cause iOS to route your call audio to a nonexistent Bluetooth device or headset instead of the main speaker. 

1. Open Settings and go to Accessibility.
2. Tap on Touch, then scroll down and tap Call Audio Routing.
3. If it is already set to Automatic, switch it to Speaker. If it was on something else, change it back to Automatic to force the system to recalibrate. 

I just went through ALL the settings, checking and changing and restating the phone, trying all the usual suggestions and tricks from similar problems with past updates. What finally worked for me is so stupid. I turned off bluetooth and then turned it back on, now the phone rings. The only thing that was connected to bluetooth was my apple watch.

Home screen phones on ios27 go to silent after turning off then back on, even tho the switch is on Ring.

if it rings after turning the switch to Silent then back to Ring, it has the same bug seen elsewhere in the forum.

What finally worked for me was turning off bluetooth, even though the only thing connected was my watch, and turning it back on. So stupid.

I also had trouble with no ringing after the 27.2 update. I had to go to Settings, General, Reset phone. And that worked for me. I have an SE.

This is happening on my Dads iPhone SE, running ios 27. My dad is 92 years old so we really want him to answer his phone when we call him. If he does not pickup we think the worse. I updated to ios 27.2 and it is still does not work. The only thing that works is turning the mute on then off again. A reboot seems to set it back to Mute on.

You said that twice. If yoi didn't see your first post it is possibly because your default thread sort is Rank rather than Oldest or Newest.

As you do not say what model ohone you have it may also be misleading to the author

I have the iPhone 17 Pro Max and did the 27.2 update today. Two noticeable things I can’t fix is… Siri won’t read my messages I’m sending all of the sudden when I’m using my AirPods and if I’m looking at a video and the phone rings and won’t override the video like it use to. Anyone have a fix to these problems. I’ve tried everything everyone has suggested on this thread and I searched google for an answer.
