iPhone 18 Pro pre-order shipment from AT&T failure due to shipper requested return to sender, but AT&T claims they did not.

  1. Our iPhone 18pro pre-order shipment from AT&T was interrupted with what UPS and FEDEX describe as a shipper requested return to sender while in transit the day before arrival. AT&T is baffled and has no process for resolution. We had ordered three phones, 2 of which were shipped via FedEx and one via UPS. All three shipments were interrupted with a return to shipper request initiated by the shipper according to UPS and Fedex. Has anyone else expereinced this bizarre case. I found a post from 2 years ago from another post that had a similar experience with their pre-order from AT&T when iphone 16pro rolled out. the original post is below.

iPhone 16 Pro Max returned to sender

My AT&T Pre-order, iPhone 16 Pro Max black base was shipped and arrived to its UPS final dispatch point last night but then was recalled to sender at their request. It was scheduled to be out for delivery today Sept 20 by 7:00 pm. What's going on has Apple recalled early shipments?

I'm sorry this happened, but a couple things:

  1. You evidently ordered the phone from AT&T, NOT Apple.
  2. This means you need to air your grievance with AT&T, NOT Apple.
  3. And this is a user to user only forum, not Apple Support, and even if Apple was here, they can't help you with a device you didn't buy from Apple directly.
