iPhone 18 Pro Max keeps rebooting after Face ID scan

My iPhone 18 Pro Max 512GB keeps rebooting, and I’ve noticed it usually happens immediately after Face ID scans my face. This has been happening since I received the phone on September 18. Is this a known software issue that will be fixed in an update, or should I return or exchange the phone because it may be defective?
