iPod Trust Will Not Activate
After resetting my iPod touch, when I attempt to activate it, it won't activate and refers me to Apple support.
Any clues re solution please?

Several threads on these forums indicate that there are problems activating very old iPhones.
Which iPod touch do you have, and what version of iOS is it running? Unless it is an
- iPod touch (6th generation) that can update to iOS 12.* (and no further), or
- iPod touch (7th generation) that can update to iOS 15.* (and no further)
it might be that Apple's activation servers don't support it any more.
There's also the issue that a key security certificate will be expiring at the end of next January. As far as I know, Apple back ported the fix to iOS 12 and iOS 15 – but not to anything earlier than iOS 12. So come next February, things like Message and FaceTime calls over the Internet may break on the iPod touch (1st – 5th generation).
