I have MacBook Pro M1 that I have been using an older Apple Thunderbolt 1/2 monitor for a few years with an Apple T3 to T2 adapter. Yesterday the monitored stopped working. I connect the monitor to my older Intel based MacBook Pro and the monitor works as it should. I have replaced the adapter thinking it may have failed but have the same results. Anybody else have this issue and resolved it?
if you have some reason to believe yours has failed due to problems with the captive lead-in cord’s Thunderbolt-2 connection, Users have successfully connected a discrete Thunderbolt-2 cable to the second Thunderbolt-2 port (on the chassis) and had the display work fine.

then that is not likely your issue, as long as you have confirmed it working recently. Unfortunately, those cables are rare and therefore expensive.
