Topaz Photo AI AI models fail on M5 MacBook Pro after macOS 27.0 update

Compatibility issue with AI model execution on macOS 27.0 (M5 MacBook Pro)

I am writing to report a critical compatibility issue following the recent update to macOS 27.0 on my Apple Silicon M5 MacBook Pro.

After upgrading from macOS 26.6.2 to macOS 27.0, the "Wonder" AI processing models (versions 3.5, 3, and 2) in Topaz Photo AI (version 1.7.0) stopped functioning entirely. These models were working seamlessly on macOS 26.6.2.

To resolve this issue, I conducted extensive troubleshooting with Topaz Support. Today, a senior technician from Topaz connected to my machine via a 25-minute Zoom remote session to perform diagnostic checks and configuration adjustments. Unfortunately, the issue persisted. As a further diagnostic test, they provided a previous build (version 1.6.1), but the Wonder AI models failed to execute on that version as well under macOS 27.0.

Since the models work on earlier macOS releases but fail consistently across multiple software builds on macOS 27.0, this suggests an underlying system-level issue or Neural Engine API regression introduced in macOS 27.0 on M5 architecture.
